Let's bring passenger rail back to Tallahassee!
People want more transportation choices, and restoring passenger rail would give Tallahassee residents an easy way to travel east to Jacksonville and west to New Orleans and even Los Angeles. It would also strengthen the links between the local economies along the Gulf Coast, which will help business and create more jobs.
But bringing passenger rail back is not a done deal, by any means. Two things have to happen:
- The upcoming feasibility studies must show that the overall economic benefits are greater than the cost, and
- We need to build a large grassroots effort to show Congress and our state government that we want this. And that’s why we’re asking you to sign up to our ‘Rally for Rail’ group.
By signing up, you'll receive periodic updates on the effort to restore passenger rail service to Tallahassee and how you can help.
I’m creating this 'Rally for Rail' group because I want to bring passenger rail back, and I also want to demonstrate to Tallahassee voters that I’m the best candidate to join the City Commission and make this happen.
But this issue is more important than any candidate’s election. Regardless of whether I’m elected to the City Commission, I will do my part to keep the ‘Rally for Rail’ group going and will continue to work on Tallahassee’s grassroots effort to add passenger rail service to our Capital City.
So I hope you’ll join the ‘Rally for Rail’ team and help us! Please sign up below.
